Use the club calendar and add it to your phone

See club events, meets, entry deadlines and training in one calendar, keep registers, and keep it in sync with Google, Apple or Outlook.

For: Everyone (sessions: coaches, team managers and committee; linking Google Calendar: club admins)

1. 1

   See what's coming up

Open Calendar for club events, meets, entry deadlines and training, as an agenda or a month view. Meets appear automatically when they're added to Medley.

2. 2

Add it to your own calendar

Choose Add to my calendar and pick Google Calendar or Apple / Outlook. Once you've subscribed, it stays up to date on your phone. The links are private to you.

3. 3

   Add a club date

Staff choose Add a date for socials, AGMs, gala days and anything else. Everyone sees it on the calendar and is told it's new. Open it later to change or remove it.

4. 4

   Keep the training timetable

Coaches, team managers, the committee and the membership and competition secretaries add sessions under Training timetable: every week or just once, for whole squads, named swimmers, or both. If a session is called off, choose Call off for that date and its swimmers' parents are told by push notification.

5. 5

   Take the register

Coaches, team managers and the committee open a session on the calendar to mark each swimmer present, late or absent. Before the day you can already mark a swimmer absent, with a reason, if their parent has told you they're away or ill.

6. 6

Tell the club if your swimmer can't make it

Parents open a session on the calendar and choose Coming or Not coming, with an optional reason. Coaches see your answer on their register.

7. 7

   Link the club's Google Calendar

If the club already keeps a Google Calendar, choose Google Calendar and follow the steps to share it with Medley (with Make changes to events). Club events then flow in, and meets and entry deadlines are added to it. The settings show whether Medley can add to the calendar or only read it. Medley links with Google Calendar only: if your club uses Outlook or Apple, keep the club's dates in Medley with Add a date, and everyone can still subscribe from their own calendar app.
